Pax Agricultura

From Conflict to Cultivation

Our Mission

Rooted in the vision of Peace Through Agriculture (Pax Agricultura), we restore the earth, rebuild livelihoods, and inspire peace by uniting local and global farming communities to heal both soil and soul through regenerative agriculture, education, and advocacy.

Where Peace Takes Root

  • Our Global Gardens for Food Security program empowers vulnerable communities to grow their own nourishment through hands-on education and resilient food systems.

  • We advance global thought leadership in cultivating peace through agriculture by partnering with The UC Berkeley Kühn Institute for Post-Conflict Development Studies, hosting high-impact forums that drive research, dialogue, and community-centered solutions.

  • We spotlight the women cultivating peace through agriculture—sharing their stories to inspire global regeneration and honor the 2026 UN Year of the Woman Farmer.

Growing Peace from the Ground Up

For over 25 years, I’ve walked through fields littered with landmines literal and metaphorical—and turned them into thriving vineyards, orchards, and farmland that feed families and rebuild communities.

My mission is simple: to replace the scars of war with the seeds of hope.

Kühn Initiative for

Post Conflict Development Studies

The Kühn Initiative supports academic research and outreach programming that focuses on the following areas of priority:

  • Developing detailed knowledge of agriculture in post-conflict zones

  • Supporting research on economic development in post-conflict societies

  • The study of demilitarization and development

  • Promoting peace through economic stability and prosperity

These efforts are interdisciplinary, connecting fields such as agricultural science, natural resource management, international development, political science, conflict studies, and area studies, with an emphasis on academic study that meets practical, real-world needs of farmers, activists, charitable foundations, and international aid organizations in relevant areas.
